Hot and bothered

Apparently 20,000 people gathered in London on Saturday to protest against the US and British military attacks on Afghanistan. Had I known about the demo, it would have been 20,001.

Does Dubya actually realise just how stupid he sounds casually dismissing the Taliban’s offer to hand over /bin/Laden, then turning and saying “Come on Barney!” to an off-camera pet (presumably a dog not purple dinosaur)? Thousands are on the brink of starvation in Afghanistan, there’s a lunatic sending Anthrax around the States, there are riots and protests around the globe, and things are generally looking like escalating horribly. And Dubya seems more concerned with “Barney”…! I’m losing all hope.

On a (literally) brighter note, the weather’s gone a bit weird… 73 degrees. It’s mid-October, it’s London, so I really shouldn’t be able to go out at night in just a t-shirt. Er, and trousers etc. obviously.
