I like animals — especially horses and dolphins
Okay, far too lazy busy to pop anything up here for a while, but felt inspired to put digits to keyboard after watching the Miss World competition semi-final on TV last night. How can a programme manage to be quite so laughably vacuous? It was quite compulsive in its awfulness and lack of irony. If all the girls are really representative of their countries, then I have a great deal of hope for world — they all seemed to be interested in doing charity work, helping deprived and disabled children, and all loved their families very much! It really made no attempt to be anything other than a late-night festival of lechery, with the contestants spending the entire time in bikinis. In addition to the obligatory beach volleyball shots, the programme makers took the inspired decision to get the girls trampolining! But why not just show a porno — it serves exactly the same purpose and would surely be cheaper?
Having now looked at the site, I realise that I have been far too cynical about the whole event; I shall now be rootin’ for Miss Bosnia & Herzegovina, who apparently likes “playing handball“. I won’t say it…
