BlueYonder and spam
Just catching up on the mailing list backlog I’ve built up this week, and read something interesting about BlueYonder, the ISP that UK cable company Telewest’s customers use. Allegedly, BlueYonder has been so slack at cracking down on spammers using their service that now it has had a blanket block put on their IP number, 195.188.53.123 by certain other ISPs and system admins. This blacklisting effectively means that anyone sending mail through BlueYonder may find their messages automatically classed as spam and deleted. Hmmm, perhaps BlueYonder should have been a little more proactive in hunting the spammers and script kiddies…
