Cripple Fight!

I have finally seen the legendary South Park episode, and my life may never be the same again. Pure genius.

Neil and Nichie’s Wedding

I’m back from Neil’s wedding, which was absolutely great.
My journey up to Sheffield was fairly uneventful, apart from when my bags got stuck in the ticket barrier at Elephant & Castle tube station. Upon arrival, I sauntered off into the city centre, only to find that Sheffield doesn’t seem to have a city centre as [...]

Always the piss head, never the bride

Lots of pro-Brian Paddick stuff appearing over the last few days, my favourite being the posters plastered around Brixton:
The Life of Brian.Reinstate PaddickHe’s not a very naughty boyHe’s the Messiah!

I’m off to Sheffield first thing in the morning for Neil and Nicola’s wedding. Just had a look at the venue, the Maynard Arms in Derbyshire, [...]

The other side of the Paddick debate

I wouldn’t even call Richard Littlejohn’s new anti-Paddick rant thinly-veiled — it’s out and out (no pun intended, even if he is probably a repressed homosexual) homophobia. If you want, you can read it at the red-top-no-information-no-journalism-no-brain-required-just-bingo-and-celebrity-sex-scandals-full-of-hate-and-prejudice-reactionary-right-wing-piece-of-shit Sun’s site: ignorant, biggoted, nasty, homophobic, sickening ramble by hypocrite who’s probably never even been to Brixton. Warning, [...]

Heroes and Villains

Liverpool needed to beat Italian champions Roma (who haven’t lost a game in five months) by two goals tonight if they were to go through to the quarter finals of the Champions League. And they did, winning 2—0, and dumping Roma out of the competition in the process! To make the evening even more memorable, [...]

Still a demand for skyscapers

A few days ago, Southwark Council gave the go-ahead to London Bridge Tower, which, at 66 storeys (305m) high will be the tallest building in Europe. From the BBC’s London Bridge Tower report:
The proposed tower, which has been designed by architect Renzo Piano, will appear as a slender spire of glass with steeply sloping faces [...]

Celebrity Golden Shower

After the favourable reaction I received to the IE Booster program I mentioned yesterday, I’ve now added about half-a-dozen more free Windows programs to the links area of my site.
And now a few fun bits, courtesy of Fark:

The site may be in Swedish, but who needs words when the photos of Britney Spears being attacked [...]

IE Booster, Internet backwaters and wanking

Just found a nice little free program called IE Booster, which adds a load of handy options to Internet Explorer when you right-click. May not be much use to average surfers, but could be extremely handy if you’re a nosy web developer or designer.
According to the Guardian, “The so-called digital divide is in danger of [...]

More expense

I see that Macromedia are launching a new version of Flash next week, called Flash MX. Having just looked over the features, I think it might actually be worth upgrading. The same can’t be said of the soon-to-be-released Adobe Photoshop 7, whose new features don’t really seem worth the cost of an upgrade. About the [...]

Finally put fingers to keyboard

I’ve finally updated the entry about Neil’s stag weekend (a couple of entries below this one). Sorry, had a busy week.
