Every time you masturbate, a Scotsman stomps a hedgehog

I really like the music that accompanies the current T-Mobile TV commercial (the one where they’re putting up posters of a baby). Seems I’m not the only one; thankfully Reid at Exploding Fist actually went to the trouble of finding out who it was by — apparently it’s a track called ‘So Easy’ by Röyksopp. Must investigate further… Incidentaly, he found out through Commercial Breaks and Beats — the UK TV Advert Music Database, which is great for those “Who the fuck is that? I know the tune but…” moments.

Whilst not exactly heart-stopping news, people watching DVDs on their PCs might want to know that Windows Media Player 8 sends the details of the titles you’re watching in it back to Microsoft. They say — and I believe them — that they don’t really do anything with the information… yet, but the potential for profiling your individual tastes are kind of creepy from a privacy point of view. So if you intend to watch things like ‘Debbie Does Dallas’ or ‘The Collected Rantings of Bin Laden’ on your ‘puter, you might want to consider Power DVD instead.

Switching off Paranoid Mode for a moment and turning Design mode back on, Before & After have put together a really nice (and quite lengthy) piece on linking letters to create striking logotypes.

Headline of the day from FARK.com: Every time you masturbate, a Scotsman stomps a hedgehog. Although Green Bay running back breaks into woman’s dorm room and takes a dump in her closet. Calls it a misunderstanding was a close second.
