Too warm for sleep
Bloody hell, it’s so hot here in London, just know I won’t be able to get to sleep for ages tonight. I’ve just had some Fruit ‘n’ Nut chocolate (sounds like gay slang but it’s not in this instance), which was hovering between a solid and liquid state, and now I look like an IRA prisoner after a ‘dirty protest’. Must try not to get it all over the keyboard as a cast my eye over Fark… ah, you’ve got to love capatalism.
Back to jury service for a moment: this American has the right idea.
Two particularly alarming tech news stories from the Register:
- the Recording Industry Association of America is going to court for the right to determine which Web sites you and I will be permitted to visit
- BT is threatening to kick users of P2P applications (such as Kazaa) off its ADSL broadband service
This despite the fact that research shows that downloading of MP3s doesn’t effect CD sales.
