Jury Service: Day 9
They think it’s all over
Well, they’re done with me — we reached a majority verdict at about 4.15pm, and were dismissed soon after. We actually got some verbal abuse as we left the court building, so the 12 of us toddled off to the pub afterwards. Hence me typing this whilst half-cut. Will probably re-do this tomorrow — after writing several letters of complaint to various people… In the meantime, my advice to everyone would be: do jury service, as it’s a real eye-opener; and don’t buy a poppy from the Royal British Legion.
