Silly Supervillain

This is a message that someone sent to a Photoshop newsgroup by mistake, which I printed out and now keep above my desk. It makes me laugh.

Hi Kiki,

This morning I woke up thinking I was a supervillain. I wanted to address people as “you worm”, or if I found them to be particularly odious, “you sniveling worm.” Example:

Marcia: Good Morning, Andy. It’s a beautiful day for the parade!
Andy: Tremble before me, you sniveling worm.

As the surreal fog of slumber clears, and reality drips into focus, I realize that I am not a supervillain - I am a multimedia artist/animator/balloon watcher. *Sigh* True, there’s nothing that says a multimedia artist/animator/balloon watcher cannot address others as “worm” and so forth, but I’m not festooned in lavish supervillain garb and surrounded by loyal henchmen, I’d just feel silly.
