Lying us into war
Now this is interesting: How CNN edited Blix’s transcript. Dan Hon did a little bit of investigating and found that ‘respected’ news organisation CNN actually left some bits out of their online transcript of Hans Blix’s report to the UN. Dan compared the CNN transcript with both the official UN transcript and the BBC’s, and found that the CNN version was missing 866 words. Surprise, surprise, the missing bits were concerned with “Iraqi moves towards compliance and partial refutation of the evidence presented by Powell to the UNSC”.
Biased reporting by the mainstream media? Surely not! Elsewhere, Dennis Hans outlines the way George Bush employs elaborate techniques of deceit to promote his agenda on Iraq.
