Terry Scott vs Saddam
Continuing on from yesterday, I’ve found some more great political cartoons, this time by David Horsey.
There’s lots of satirical news at Spin On This, including this gem:
HARDCORE WARNOGRAPHY: IRAQ LATEST
Geoff Hoon: “Good morning. I just love it when a group of men in uniform drop their payload in front of my face. Oh baby that’s good. I can confirm that lots of men with guns are killing each other. I’m giving the orders now bitch! We believe that coalition forces are making smooth progress. Oooh - let’s cruise some missiles baby and see what thrust phase looks like. The people of Iraq are not our enemy - but that won’t stop us killing the raghead fuckers. Our bombs are precise - it’s the speed-gobbling US pilots you need to worry about. It’s not easy to get your tongue round those Arab place names. But it is easy for me to get mine round Rumsfeld’s wizened prick. That is all the coalition information currently available.”
Ah, seems TV Go Home has been updated:
8.30 Terry’s War
Theoretical documentary which combines statistical data, artificial intelligence, anecdotes from June Whitfield and meticulous three-dimensional first-person-perspective CGI simulations to assess precisely how the late Terry Scott would fare if parachuted behind Iraqi enemy lines armed only with a pistol, a whip, and a 12-inch perspex shield.
And finally, to put you off your food, here are some more photos of collateral damage (Warning–deeply disturbing photos of war casualties).
Next time you link to disgustingly sick photos like that PUT A PROPER FUCKING WARNING BY THEM YOU SICK FUCK!!!! Yes they show the true horror war but not everyone can stomach images of mutilated corpses regardless of how they got in that state in the first place. DO NOT DO IT AGAIN, YOU DUMB CUNT!
Good point well made — I posted in a hurry and should have made the warning more explicit (I have now done so). Please accept my apologies if you found the photos too distressing. Whether you think I’m a sick fuck for posting the link without sufficient warning, or for posting the link at all, I don’t know…
for posting the link without sufficient warning Glad you linked to the images as the horrors of war are too easily ignored/forgotten but choice is important too and without facts, informed choice cannot be made. Looking back, I was perhaps a little harsh with my wording, in that respect, I apologise.
