Blair: Human rights more important than special relationship
Without a moment’s hesitation, the British government has rushed to defend the human rights of the 650 people held illegally in the Guantanamo Bay concentration camp for a year and a half. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office issued the following strongly-worded demand:
“I say, frightfully embarrassed to have to ask, but would you mind awfully not executing our chaps just yet, at least till this beastly broo-ha-ha’s died down a little?”
