Sunbathing and beer versus geekyness

I’m afraid I really have been neglecting World of Badger recently, and to those people who have continued to visit despite the lack of updates, thank you!

Most of my time of late has been taken up coding the shopping cart system that Rob and I are currently developing; when not doing that, the choice between staring at the computer looking for stuff to blog and enjoying this glorious weather with a cold, alcoholic drink in hand has not been that taxing.

I do feel a little guilty for not posting more when there are such outrageous events going on around the world, but regular visitors probably have a pretty good idea of my views on such matters. And for those that don’t, I suggest a visit to Hangingday, which always makes me laugh and nod in equal measure. (my favourite recent picture/caption being Tell it to the hand, because the elected representative ain’t listening).

Still, I suspect I’ll be forced to begin venting spleen again shortly — just a matter of deciding where to start… On a less self-important note, went to see Terminator 3 this evening in Brixton, and was surprised to find it wasn’t quite as awful as I’d expected (but then again I did have very low expectations, and I had had a few pints). However the highlight was actually the trailer for the new Tomb Raider film, in which Angelina Jolie utters the hilarious-in-a-puerile-way “The men are coming for the box”. How very true.

  1. I’m a chick and I would totally come for her box.

  2. Yeah, but for starters Angie has got weird lips. Why hasn’t anyone else ever commented on them? If I put a mirror to my lips, about 1cm off-centre, I could have identical lips to Angie. They’re odd. And then there’s the blood-around-the-neck thing… unless you’re part of some sort of celebrity organ/plasma donor scheme, there’s no excuses for that. Plus, how would you feel about getting jiggy with Jon Voight’s daughter, lips or no lips, nice box or no nice box?

  3. Upon drunken reflection, I would probably be happy to enjoy Angie’s weird lips. Sorry.
