Last Action Hero

Fuck me, Saddam must be shitting himself now that Bruce Willis has put a $1m bounty on his head. Following in Arnie’s footsteps, the bald actor has been visiting US troops in Iraq, playing a set of blues songs. Does this mean that he’ll also be running for office somewhere soon, or is it just a cynical attempt to bolster his Action Vest profile in the States? Well, Bruce clearly isn’t just an on-screen man of action:

“If you catch him, just give me four seconds with Saddam Hussein.”

Now that I’d pay to watch—a fight between a ruthless, ex-CIA assassin/retired dictator/mass murderer, and a smirking, flabby, bald, multi-millionaire thespian. I think, for the first time in history, every person with an ounce of decency and humanity would be backing Saddam in a fight. Still, at least Bruce has seen the reality of everyday life for the Iraqi civillians:

During an interview Willis said: “Peculiar thing back home is that the liberal media was trying to portray it as a bad war.

“But being over here just a couple of days, seeing how well our troops and the allied troops are being received here, (I) think the Iraqi people are happy we’re here,” the Hollywood star said.

“Children are being taken care of, starting being inoculated, starting being looked after. Wherever these guys go they get thumbs up. They no longer have to contend with the terrorist leader,” Willis said.

But the star later admitted he had not met many Iraqis because he had been travelling the country by helicopter.

Oh.
