The lovely Rachel Stevens
After consuming my own body weight in alcohol at the weekend, I’ve actually had a few very constructive days of work (not on this site though, as you can see).
Rob and I had a meeting with a new client today, and during our chat we were amused to learn that Rachel Stevens had just been browsing in their boutique during a break from shooting her new video next door. I mention this purely for the benefit of Troy, who spent most of the weekend describing the pathological hatred he harbours for “the world’s sexiest woman”.
Edited to add I dug out an email Troy sent me last month, and thought this extract might give you an idea of his feelings for her:
Rachel is to the pop music industry what Kate Thornton is to television… What makes Rachel stand out from say, the smouldering intensity of a young Lauren Hutton, or the sophistication of Catherine Deneuve or even the humour of latin sex-bomb Connie Montoya is her hidden depths, her keen wit and intelligence, her ability to rise above the tabloid level pap of getting photographed clippity-clopping out of the Ivy by papparazzi… The fact that Rachel doesen’t write her own music shouldn’t hide her song writing abilities that combine the poetic pain of Joplin and the funky genius of Wonder which I’m sure we’ll all discover before her career is over at 25…
Anyway, back to the shambles that is World of Badger… Just when I feel pleased with myself for starting to tackle all the referrer spam, I find that my stats are now screwed up because b2evolution isn’t set up to recognise Henry the Mirago bot. Still, shouldn’t really grumble about being thoroughly spidered I suppose. The referrer spam is more of a pain though—b2evolution’s centralised database of spamming URLs is effective, but inevitably one step behind the fuckers.
Hmmm, what a disjointed post this is. I will shut up now.
Nah Don’t shut up - ahah I love the category name “Mish Mash of Gubbins”! :) brilliant!
Aargh! Don’t encourage me to talk more rubbish…!
