Badger Balls Up
As has been pointed out to me, the Make Poverty History link at top left of the page doen’t actually work. Don’t blame me, I only do this stuff for a living – accordingly, usability and accessibility go out the window so long as it looks cool. (If you must know, the original markup supplied by MPH was horrid, I tinkered with it in the early hours, I forgot to test that the finished version worked, I look like a well-meaning pillock for 7 days.) In the meantime, do visit Make Poverty History.

I’ve attempted to implement the banner myself and came across the same problem. That, and somehow the image map didn’t work, the entire image turned into a link and blotted out the top of the navigation. Pity, it was/is such a great idea.
Yeah, it’s a shame. My broken hack does still work in some browsers (fine in Safari, OK in IE, knackered in Firefox), and I guess it’s raising awareness that counts more than the link itself really…
