A cat is for life, not just ’til iBook

As my iBook still hasn’t arrived, I wanted something else to play with in the meantime, and so popped along to Battersea Dog’s Home today and picked up two cats. After some form-filling and vetting (no pun intended) I found myself in “Feline Street” faced with dozens of impossibly cute cats. God, talk about a difficult decision; they only had four pairs, which made the choice a little easier, but I still contemplated becoming one of those crazy people living in squalor with 30 cats. I was so tempted by Rooney & Sophie (insert your own soppy sound here), but ended up going home with another pair that had come in the previous day (hence not on the website). They’re sisters, one all black, the other black and white, both about 18 months old, and needless to say, incredibly cute.

  1. Nice one – looking forward to meeting the furballs.

  2. Are they not named because you sourced them for Pete? In which case I recommend subject A and subject B.

  3. No, they’re not for the good doctor to conduct his twins experiments on. They’re actually going to be put inside the large running wheel kinetic energy converter I’ve built, thus enabling me to sell electricity back to the national grid.

  4. Nice collection of felines you have there.

    Hope your Ibook arrives soon.

  5. Thanks. My iBook seems to have vanished into the ether somewhere in mainland Europe, but at least I’ve got one of the cats sat in front of me on my desk…
